Golden Milk / Turmeric Latte Recipe
When confronted with a headache or menstrual cramps, this is my absolute favorite go-to drink to ease the aches and pains.
Turmeric has amazing anti-inflammatory properties, and this blend of ingredients is just so delicious, and guilt free, some people drink golden milk daily.
12 oz. your favorite almond milk
1 teaspoon turmeric (powdered spice)
1 dash black pepper
1 dash cinnamon*
1 Tablespoon organic raw honey
Add these ingredients together in a small saucepan, stir, and heat gently until hot, before boiling**.
Pour into your favorite mug, wrap your hands around it, take in the scent, sip and enjoy!
*You might play around with the added spices to make this drink exactly to your own liking ... cardamom, cloves, nutmeg, star anise, maybe a hint of sea salt. Or, maybe you might add a healthy fat with some coconut oil to your own recipe.
**Sometimes after heating this up I take it for a whirl in the Vitamix to make it into a more frothy, whipped up drink. Another option for this awesome delicious drink!
